Come together and join us on a share!

As the seasons change it's time to start thinking about winter and stocking up the pantry. For the first time, we are offering Cow Shares for beef. How this works is if you're interested in purchasing a larger amount of beef for your family you can buy a 1/4 or 1/2 share of a live cow with us, which once all shares on the animal are sold will be butchered for beef.

Your health and your money mean something. With a cow share you receive a discount of what the cost would be per pound if buying all cuts separately. When it comes to yours and your family's health, knowing where your food came from and how it was raised is an important part of the buying process.

These specific cows were raised locally in the Greater Tehachapi area, raised on pasture and supplemented in the winter months and prior to butcher with high quality hay. No grain was fed to these animals, no medications.

If you're not already a consumer of 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef, it's important to note there is a taste difference to grain-fed or grain-finished beef. Grass-fed is a leaner product and cooks best at a slightly lower temperature than grained beef.

We are offering 1/4 Shares for $800, and 1/2 Shares for $1500. This includes ground, steaks, roasts, and odd cuts in butcher paper (see below for what cuts to expect). You can opt for additional options such as specifying vacuum sealing plastic at an additional cost. We estimate 1/4 Shares to render 60-87lbs of finished beef.

If you would like to purchase a Cow Share, please send us a message through the website and we will reach out to collect your contact information and arrange payment. We are also offering complimentary delivery to your residence in the Greater Tehachapi area, or you can meet us on pick-up day in town. Payment is by Cash or Check only and due upfront.
